The 48th issue of Kodansha‘s Young Magazine on Monday revealed that Naoki Yamakawa (writer) and Masashi Asaki (artist) will launch a new manga in its pages next spring. The new manga’s title has not been revealed yet.
This announcement comes after the duo’s manga My Home Hero, which launched in Young Magazine in May 2017, ended in July 2024. Kodansha published the manga’s 26th compiled volume in October 2024.
Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga and released volume 22 on September 16. The manga also inspired an anime that premiered in April 2024, which streamed on Crunchyroll with an English dub.
Separately, Yamakawa worked with Akinari Nao on I’m Standing on a Million Lives, which inspired a television anime in October 2020, followed by a second season in July 2021. Kodansha USA is releasing the manga in English.
Asaki drew Psychometrer and Psychometrer Eiji for Yuma Ando, as well as IWGP: Denshi no Hoshi in the Ikebukuro West Gate Park universe.
